Shelley Poticha

Director, Urban Solutions, NRDC

Shelley Poticha is the director of Urban Solutions at the Natural Resources Defense Council, which works to help cities become climate resilient and support thriving people.  Before joining NRDC, she was a senior advisor at HUD, where she launched the Office of Sustainable Housing and Communities and was a co-lead of the federal Partnership for Sustainable Communities.  

Prior to federal service, she led two non-profits: Reconnecting America, where she emerged as a national leader in land-use reform and equitable transit-oriented development, and the Congress for the New Urbanism, which seeks to help local leaders build places people love.
